Illustrations created for Texas Impact to help personalize issues related to the Texas power grid. Texas Impact found that the information they were presenting was overwhelming, so they wanted to use illustration to bring an element of friendly familiarity to their documents.
The colorful patterns are used as endpapers and border columns for primer documents, but each individual icon can be pulled out and used as a simple illustration to accompany text.
Illustrations for School Connect, a social-emotional learning program aimed at high school students. These drawings pair with videos of real students and teachers being interviewed about the social and academic pressures of being a teenager.
Each image correlates with the students’ own words or story and pops up on screen next to them as they talk.
Spec podcast cover designs for three different shows. Dear Prudence, an advice show, gives practical but caring answers to listener questions. Heavyweight, a human interest show from Gimlet, features a host that likes to involve himself in solving other people’s problems. Why Won’t You Date Me, a talk show featuring comedian Nicole Byer, is held together by the thru-line that she is trying to figure out how to find a solid romantic relationship.

Spec animation for Billie, a company that makes self care products. Their original product was a colorful razor that evaded the “pink tax,” and matched the price of men’s online razor clubs. This animation uses their brand colors to create a fun, hair-removal-related brand celebration.
